Who We Are and Why OJA89 Exists
OJA89 isn't just another betting platform that popped up overnight. We are a team that truly understands the Malaysian player community – how they watch football at the mamak with friends, the excitement they feel during a Thomas Cup match, their love for slots and live baccarat late at night, and their need for a platform that is simple, reliable, and built for local users.
The idea behind OJA89 grew from a simple observation: most international betting platforms operating in the Malaysian market aren't truly built for Malaysian players. They may support MYR, but their interfaces, game selections, payment methods, and customer support often feel like afterthoughts — not something genuinely designed with the local community in mind. OJA89 exists to change that experience entirely.
From day one, OJA89 has placed Malaysian players' needs at the heart of every product decision we make. We support the most popular payment methods in Malaysia – DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, and FPX via Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. All transactions are conducted in MYR with no hidden foreign exchange charges. Our customer support is available in both Bahasa Melayu and English, with fast response times and agents who genuinely understand the context and needs of local players.
"We are not trying to be a global platform that serves everyone. We want to be a Malaysian platform that truly understands and respects our players — from the way they play to the way they pay."
– OJA89 Management Team
In terms of game selection, OJA89 offers comprehensive coverage across all the categories Malaysian players love most. Sports fans can bet on the Malaysia Super League, English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, BWF World Tour badminton, ATP and WTA tennis, and all other major sports. Our Esports section covers Mobile Legends MPL Malaysia, CS2, VALORANT, Dota 2 and League of Legends — because we know Malaysia's gaming community is among the most active in Southeast Asia.
OJA89's online casino is built in partnership with world-class game providers including Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Microgaming, NetEnt, and Play'n GO. This means every game – from live baccarat tables to progressive jackpot slots – operates on the same technology and quality standards as the world's leading online casinos. The RNG powering all our games has been independently audited to ensure complete fairness and transparency.
One aspect we are particularly proud of at OJA89 is our commitment to responsible gaming. We believe betting should be an enjoyable form of entertainment, not a burden. That is why we provide a comprehensive set of self-management tools — including daily and weekly deposit limits, loss limits, mandatory break options, and information on where to get help if needed. OJA89 is a platform for adults who make responsible decisions, and we fully respect the autonomy and well-being of every one of our members.
OJA89's journey is far from over. We are constantly evolving and improving – adding new markets, increasing platform speed, expanding payment options, and listening to feedback from our player community. Every update we roll out is driven by one question: does this make the experience better for Malaysian players? If the answer is yes, we do it. That is the DNA of OJA89.
